Kunem Slizzle born Femi Adelakun is a Nigerian born hip-hop artist. Cultivated in Jos City which is notable for turning out other prominent multi-hyphenate music artists in the likes of MI, Jesse Jaggz, and E.Kelly to name a few, Kunem Slizzle struck out in 2008 as a founding member of The Invasion Crew (T.I.C) No Be Small Thang.
His unique blend of indigenous elements, clever wordplay, credible swagger, and an eclectic selection of superior instrumentation led to a distribution deal with RS Movement Label & Management. This collaboration culminated in the official digital release of his long awaited mix tape “NBST: No Be Small Thang” on May 15, 2011.
The NBST mix tape effort features production from local and international producers from Beats by Butta to Elliot Grey. The project also features a wide swath of burgeoning musicians on tracks ranging from quasi-dance crossovers to the essence of Nigerian hip-hop. A fully fledged CD project is expected to follow and will no doubt be a worthy chaser to the visionary success that is NBST.
