Hello fashionistas! Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend ’cause we sure did. Over the weekend I attended events like; the Slu…ssh HP party and the Belvedre vodka event. As usual, I had my eyes on everyone’s outfits and I was pleasantly surprised to be constantly confronted by chunky block heels. Block heels are fast becoming the go to option for nights out, events and even for office gear.
Besides looking cute, an added advantage I must add is that they are so comfortable and you can literally run in them. Be that as it may, while I was pleasantly surprised to see a ton of chunky heels on the dancefloor I had reservations about how they were worn. For example, boyfriend jeans and block heels are an absolute NO NO! Not to mention, pairing them with the wrong pair of skinny jeans. If they are too tight around the ankle region then you have yourself on hell of a fashion disaster.
So how then can we style our chunky heels? Keep scrolling…. In the meantime, here are a few Chunky Options to dream and salivate over.
CHUNKY HEELS WITH LEG REVEALING SKIRTS
Chunky heels give off the illusion of thicker ankles, which in turn makes your calf look bigger. To break off this effect, wear a mini or a super sexy pencil skirt. This way attention is divided between your hips and your chunky heels. It also give your outfit a retro look.
Steer clear of baggy boyfriend cut jeans or super duper tight skinny jeans, you will only look like a stuffed sausage. Your best denim option with chunky heels would be to wear cropped denim trousers or simply roll up your jeans above your ankles. This ironically elongates your legs and has a flattering effect.
