MTN LAGOS FASHION AND DESIGN WEEK: DAY THREE (The Pictures)

share on:

We were front row and centre at the MTN LAGOS DESIGN FASHION WEEK.  Forget standing at the end of the runway and taking pictures of models, I personally saw to it that we deliver shots of models in motion on the runway and not just exaggerated poses at the foot of the runway. That’s how special you guys are!

Ok back to where we were, on day3 we were treated to outstanding pieces from talented design houses; GREY, AMENDE AND JEWEL BY LISA. A good 30 minutes before the show, I caught up with GREY to have a quick chat with them. They explained their eagerness to stay on trend by using the fabric of the season; Jewel tone fabrics. Furthermore, we were treated to a display of true craftsmanship in red carpet and workwear garments.

Jewel By Lisa stole the show with a collection that was inspired by vintage Yoruba garments. Her pieces were what I like to call; BLINGED OUT and perfectly tailored.

Amende showed us how to create garments that move on the curves of a lady and she set the pace in the Nigerian fashion industry by introducing tie dye again.
