I really was having a terrible day and no one seemed to understand how bad.
I can hardly recall the details, but I remember locking myself up in my room, thinking of helpful ways to get out of my inexplicable mood.
I held my phone very closely for minutes and just watched the red light blink within seconds.
I had ignored my IM’s and mails to chill out for a while.
I decided to go through my gallery, hoping to reminisce on some pictures, maybe that could make me smile.
As i punched the first key, my timeline beat my media to it and so I kept scrolling my trackpad downwards and that was it!
I clicked the link and by the time I was done reading, I had reasons to laugh out loud, I found every bit of the write-up funny, even if it contained loads of facts. Apparently, it was a total analysis of the social network that had provided me with the link to this same article.
From that moment, I loved the author!
In less than a month, we became really cool buddies (yea, good for me). On our first meeting, it felt like she was my long lost sister, we talked and laughed about everything.
The day after, I began to face the worst times of my life and this went on for 21 whole days.
I called it torture, she called it exposure.
“You’re only getting stronger” She said.
She was always there for me.
Every call and message from her meant a whole lot.
She expressed immense concern, from making sure I woke up every morning to knowing what I had for dinner.
She was ever ready to listen to my lamentations and didn’t fail to make me feel better at the end.
She understood everything and didn’t for a minute miss the countdown for these days to be over.
She is that one person that has taught me to dwell on the lighter side in the worst situations.
She made me understand that life is too short to let little things get to me.
She is The only person that keeps me laughing like a lunatic during every phone conversation (P.S – She is not a comedian, we are just happy people)
Words can’t exactly express my gratitude, I have never been more grateful.
This is me specially saying a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my darling friend and sisto, ISIOMA OSAJE!!!
Yes! The famous JAZZ! 😀
God Bless You hunnie! You’re indeed really special and the little things you do go a very long way.
I would everly appreciate you!
