THE VICTORIA BECKHAM HANDBAG COLLECTION A/W2011-12

share on:

I stumbled upon these collection of Victoria Beckham’s line of handbags a few days ago and I am totally loving the classic shapes, saturated colors and material used in the collection.  These bags are totally beautiful, versatile and practical. Love them so much I had to share them with you just incase you haven’t seen them yet.

Already well known in the fashion world for her form fitting and simply elegant dresses, she debuts her 16 piece accessories collection earlier this year to showcase her exquisite and elegantly styled leather goods collection which received great reviews.  This season, she releases 28 beautiful bags not deviating from the Victoria Beckham asthetic of elegant, timeless with a slight opulence. It is very clear Victoria has created pieces she would wear herself  especially with her Victoria Beckham dresses.

She goes to show that it’s important to have a very strong passion for what you do as you would absolutely excel in it, if you take one small step at a time, no need to rush into it.  She only started in 2008 with a dresses only collection, then expanded to Eye-wear, a denim line and now leather goods – what would be next in her growing empire I wonder.  Whatever it maybe, it looks like Mrs Becks is here to stay in the fashion designing world.

The colour pallete used is Sand, Cement, Pumpkin, Navy, Black, Burgundy and Vermilion Red. There are satchels, box bags(my favourite), mini totes, shoulder bags, clutch bags, travel bags, duffle bags and a limited edition iPad case.

All bags are hand crafted in Italy and have nappa lining interior with either Alligator, Calfskin, Buffalo leather/suede and Lizard skin as their exterior hence the very heft price tag. These are almost signed off as collectors items or investment pieces as they are called.  Just look for budget-friendly well made versions and if you can afford one of them, then its absolutely worth the buy and style.
