The Avengers which is based on Stan Lee & Jack Kirby’s work, brings together comic book superheroes we’ve seen over the years on the big screen from Edward Norton’s version of The Incredible Hulk (Eric Bana’s version doesn’t count, at least not here) to Robert Downey as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Chris Evans as Captain America. Though Edward Norton won’t be reprising his role as The Incredible Hulk, he is being replaced by Mark Ruffalo who is also a very good actor. Hopefully Ruffalo doesn’t get replaced as Hulk after this one as the last two actors to take on the role got replaced after their first appearance.
So far The Avengers has got tons of posters and trailers created by fans and even though Marvel inserted a short clip of The Avenger’s at the very end of Thor a couple of people either watched the bootleg and didn’t see that or simply got out of their seat the moment the closing credit started rolling.
The Avengers according to my sources is based on a team of superheroes put together by Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D to pull the world back from the brink of disaster when an unexpected enemy who threatens global safety and security emerges.
Have fun viewing the trailer below while you wait for this movie which won’t be out till the 4th of May 2012.
