The premiere West African Idol, Timi Dakolo broke the long silence over a month ago with the release of his album titled ‘Beautiful Noise’. The twelve (12) tracker, a comfortable melange of various music genre and sounds surely makes it a blend of ‘Beautiful Noise’.
‘Beautiful Noise’ opens with a fascinating intro, a thanksgiving rendition done in Ijaw language, while track two (2) leads listeners in to the timeless ‘Let It Shine’ track. With inputs from the ingenious Cohbams Asuquo and Wole Oni, it surely is a classic. His ‘so beautiful’ track which seems to be away from the kind of music he is known for is a piece that would get anyone into a dance mode. While ‘Is It Over’ is one of those sounds synonymous with music legends.
For Timi, “….this is a huge achievement for me. I am proud of how it turned out and the response already. Up until now, I never really had a clear grasp of how much people wanted to see me succeed”.
His Management, Now Muzik, has been instrumental to this success. According to the C.E.O Efe Omorogbe, “….the Timi brand is one of excellence”.
The Timi brand has again proved that Nigerian music can compete in the global music scene. This is an attestation that he has risen beyond the West African Idol fame to carve a distinct nitch for himself and his brand.
By the virtue of the long wait by fans for this release, it has been termed ‘the most anticipated album’ in the history of Nigerian music. Whether this was deliberate or not, it sure is worth the wait judging by the quality this album brings to her audience. It’s a pride to Nigeria music scene as it could compete favourably at the international market.
