It’s a very sad day for the music industry in Nigeria…

Eastern Hip-Hop/High-Life artiste, MC Loph died earlier today (Wednesday, September 14, 2011)  in a car accident that occured wednesday while driving from Lagos to Anambra. The accident occurred along the infamous Benin-Ore road.

Real name – Obiajulu Kenneth Nwaozor, most famous for his modern remix of Late Osita Osadebe’s “Osondi Owendi” in which he featured Flavour Nabanya, was in the company of his sister and fiancee to make final arrangements for their traditional wedding set to take place in a few days. We’re told Loph died on the spot. His sister died as well while his bride-to-be survived.

MC Loph released 2 albums “Wrekognize” and “Hands up” under EastSyde Records and released a single in June, 2011 “What The Girls Wants” featuring Faze
