C-Mi is a Nigerian born; Malaysian based female emcee poised to take the Nigerian and Asian scene by storm. Adegoke Adesimisola a.k.a C-mi is an Osun State indigene. C-Mi precocious musical talent started at the age of five, miming songs along with her grandparents and cousins.
She took it a notch further by leading the children choir in her church, The Grace and Pentecostal Church. Another notable influence in her music life is Mex Factor of Pixel, who in fact taught her the rudiments of rhyming.
C-Mi is a versatile artiste and song-writer, whose influences range from Whitney Houston, Jay-Z and Eve, something obvious when you listen to how she can swing genres at the drop of a hat. Her dexterity has bagged her recognition in Malaysia and even won her a Nigerian freestyle competition, the Bit-Bender Freestyle Friday.
She is currently working on her album which is set to drop by November. The first single off the yet to be named album is Nani featuring Nigerian-based artiste Tupengo and produced by Sleek Amo. C-Mi signed under A2 records is lining up moves to get heavyweights such as MI,Tuface and Wizkid on her upcoming album. Others to be featured are Ife-Izy and Gentle Ray.
