3 exceptional things we don’t know about you

  1. I can be very shy.
  2. I am also a professional make up artist and I enjoy construction work.
  3. I am a very emotional person.

A general assumption by many is ‘For T.V personalities, the word TIMID does not exist’ what is the boldest step you have ever taken?
Admitting that Cupid aimed and got me right in the heart (lol) , accepting it, getting married and having kids. (at the point when my career was taking a positive leap). It took guts.

Being a regular face ‘before the camera’ , what are those unexpected things fame has brought you?
Recognition, love and support from fans (people who don’t even know me), consciousness (as a lot of young people look up to me).

Asides playing the host in reality T.V shows and social events, what else keeps you busy?
Like I said earlier, I am a professional make up artist, (a hobby i decided to tap into), so when I’m not on TV, I run my studio and satisfy my numerous clients; I do research on various things concerning my job and my hobby… I strive to be better in all that I do.

Where do you see the Nigerian entertainment industry five years from now?
5 years from now, i see the entertainment industry a mile from where we are right now. Its improving by the day, new innovations et all, music stars, on screen personalities are constantly working hard to get on top of their game so with all that put together, the industry will be on fire in 5 years, I HOPE! ( lol)

Your game of hurdle, from Hosting to Acting, What inspired this?
I have always wanted to be an actress but I felt I had to put certain things in place first(don’t ask). Back in 2004, I tried out my acting prowess on flatmates (a KP Cypress production). I would have continued back then but my presenting career took the better part of me and I knew I had to carve my niche when I was much younger(there! I told u! lol)

In 2008, Blessing Effiom casted me for the role of “Linda” in Disclosure1 (alex’ story) – it was fun and tasking …different. I felt I belonged there; I experienced acting like never before. I knew I wasn’t quite there even though I got praises, I asked Blessing for coaching lessons. I felt more comfortable in the next role I played, still on Disclosure.

I went back to KP‘s set (In Laws) and that was it, I made up my mind to take acting seriously. Since then, I have taken several acting classes and will soon be off to the New York film academy to see what I can grasp there! I love the challenge and like I said earlier, I strive to be better in everything i do, I think acting is serious business and what is worth doing is worth doing well.

From channel O’s O-BOMA to BBA’s Nigerian correspondent to hosting West African Idols, what have been the challenges faced so far?
Different shows/ clients require me to present a  certain way, so I have to constantly find all the facets there are to me, that is a constant challenge.. But since I am an actress, its not that tough (wink)
