THE REAL MAKE UP ARTIST: GISELLE ALIE

share on:

GISELLE GISELLE GISELLE, GISELLE ALIE is what I like to call “THE REAL MAKE UP ARTIST”.

I remember exactly where I was the first time I came across her portfolio, I was seated at a make up artistry seminar which was running behind schedule and I was one minute away from making a bolt for it, other important issues for my day had to be attended to. I grabbed my purse and got up to leave when I caught a glimpse of GISELLE’S portfolio.

I had to do a double take and sit my ass back down. Never have I seen such diversity, such dedication ands craftsmanship for make up artistry. The one factor that strikes me so strongly is this – Nobody sees a piece of make up artistry and goes: “I’m sure GISELLE DID THAT, THAT LOOKS LIKE HER WORK”.

Impossible, her work ranges from soft nude pink to full black contours and graffiti inspired make up it’s a wide range of skillful and incredibly creative work.

BACK TO THE FUTURE: Giselle shows diversity by creating retro and vintage inspired looks with a modern twist. She tweaks up eye colours with darker contours and immaculate blending skills. She gives vintage looks her own stamp approval by using statement lipstick and gloss.

COLOUR ME BABY: this summer celebrates eye popping colour in neon shades and GISELLE shows just how to rock the look without looking washed out. Colour popping eyes and nude lips are the way to go.

SHU UEMURA: AD campaign for SHUE UEMURA, who ever said feathered lashes couldn’t look so chic and wearable?

GLAM GOTH: the smokey eye is given a much needed revamp with extremely nude lips.

CONTOUR: Constantly proving that she is the master of contouring, GISELLE shows that contouring the bridge of your nose can be used as an everyday look when done carefully after a fair amount of practice. Classic make up looks are always tweaked by her as she thinks outside the box and looks for ways to push the boundary through make up artistry.

GRAFITTI: conventional make up is abandoned and colourful looks are tweaked with graffiti inspired looks and gold dust.
