share on:

Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to introduce y’all to songstress Oyetola Smith, who cloaks her secret identity by day by acting as an HR consultant.

Oye (my namesake) began singing when she was about 6 years old; she has been a choir member in every institution she has been in. She discovered her special abilities as a solo singer while @ university in England where she did a lot of shows as a line up act for peeps like Sway and N-Dubz

Her musical influences include the likes of Christina Aguilera, Brandy, Lisa McClendon, Floetry, Erykah Badu, Waje, Adele, Jazmine Sullivan, Mali Music, Dwele, Donell Jones, Neyo , James Morrison, The Script and a host of others. These artistes have helped Tola create a style consisting of RnB and soul music for herself.

On her return home, she took a chance at the 3rd edition of “The Underground”  which show cases up and coming artistes, and amongst the others she emerged the winner on November 27, 2010.

Peep her very first single “I’ll wait for you” which got produced by Jesse Jagz. She is currently working on a few other tracks which will drop soon.

She dreams of putting a band of wonderful instrumentalists and vocalists together as “the intimacy that develops within a band that creates the lack of a need for them to practice much and produce music that is in sync and from the heart is what I want to experience in music and help my audience experience it too

Yup! Get familiar!
