In many places in the world, especially in the Northern hemisphere, the month of March symbolizes beginning. Winter ends, Spring breaks out, animals end their hibernation, plants and trees start coming back to life.

In Nigeria, March comes like a lion and goes out like a lamb. What this means can be linked to all months in Nigeria (anyway). The month starts tough and ends really really gently.  Well, am done with my philosophical stuff; let’s get to the more fun things that will help ease the month of March and set our calendars on fire!!!

SLU…shh The Fashion Edition:
This weekend, 360NoBS are throwing it down at De Marquee with SLU…shh The Fashion Edition. The restaurant area of De Marquee will be turned into a Show room with mini runway showing live Mannequins. The club floor will witness loads of performances from the best set of Nigerian artistes. Come party with fashionistas, fashion bloggers, celebrities and of cos SLU…shhers .

CAMA(CEO’s Annual Merit Awards):
First Bank of Nigeria Plc will in March set the pace with the CEO’s Annual Merit Awards (CAMA).  Set to be a night of glitz, glam and a lot of panache First Bank intends to school event organizers what the Oscars will look like when if it ever comes to Nigeria(wishful thinking).

This is a dinner event to celebrate winners of the Roger Hatchuel Academy selection competition, the Young Clients Competition, the Young Lions Film Competition, the Young Lions Cyber Competition, the Young Lions Media Competition and the 11 winners of the Miami Scholarship Competition. The winners will represent Nigeria at the Cannes Lions International Festival taking place in France.

AMAA Festival:
The AMAA Festival is set to be different from the rest. In that, the carousing is going to go on for a full week with various activities for the diverse audiences (with a thing for the arts) in Bayelsa and its environs. These activities, will include; Kinabuti (Modeling Competition), Bayelsa 8(Raw Talent Hunt), Art and Craft Competition, Boat Regatta and Wrestling.

Venue: Yenogoa, Bayelsa State

AMAA Awards:
The 7th edition of the African Movie Academy Awards will bring the AMAA festival to a close, with the who is who in the movie industry in the whole of Africa.
Date: 26th March
Venue: Gloryland Cultural Centre, Yenogoa
Ticket: Strictly by invitation.

Arise Magazine Fashion Week Lagos 2011
The Arise magazine fashion week is a fashion event that is definitely aimed at blowing fashion events in Africa out of the water. It also reinforces the fact that Arise magazine is here to stay for a long time.
