New Heat: Funbi ft Blak Geez and Lil Mist – EKO ONI BAJE …The 2011 Lagos anthem

share on:

Prince Adejoro Olumofin an Alumni of University of Lagos and Founder of Elite Youth Vanguard (EYV) in collaboration with TopLeft Entertainment presents Funbi in “Eko O Ni Baje” ft. Black Jeez and Lil Mist.

Funbi is a fast rising singer with singles like Superstar (ft. Loose Kaynon and IcePrince), Its you i see (ft. Loose Kaynon) and Clockwork enjoying rotation on various media. Blak Geez won the Channel O EMc Award show where he represented Nigeria. Lil Mist completes the feature list with some hot Yoruba lines. Lil Mist is currently working on a mixtape with Funbi titled “Letter to the ladies”.

It is our hope that “Eko oni baje” becomes the official 2011 Lagos anthem as it celebrates Gov. Babatunde Raji Fashola (BRF) and its a tune that will appeal to music lovers in Nigeria and across the world.

We are celebrating BRF because he hasn’t only improved the good things he met on groung; he has also introduced innovative, rewarding and beneficial ideas for Lagosians.

The production for the video is presently in the works and it will capture a typical day in Lagos from AM-PM.

  1. Is his voice autotuned? I’d like the song much better without those effects on his voice, and this definitely cannot be a Lagos anthem. The M.I and Banky song, ‘Wave your flag’…that’s what an anthem sounds like.

  2. How would this be a lagos anthem, quality is poor, d effects are unreal, the whole song does not represent a lagos anthem, everyone nowadays seems to be singing eko o ni baje, how many people want to do a song with that same caption, I would even prefer 9ice version to this so called anthemv
