Lada – real name Oladapo Ajayi is a 24 year old Management information systems (MIS) graduate of Covenant University. Music for LADA actually dates as far back as early childhood when he started playing with drums (and making his own drums!) at age 5. He and his friends formed a singing quartet back in secondary school known as the B.I.C (Boys In Christ) which later became ‘the Exodus’.
In his university days, he was a regular at the campus organised variety nights where he often recited poems thus earning him nicknames such as ‘the poet’, ‘Rhymer’, etc. The first single off his album titled I Believe (Aada) was released in August 2009. The 2nd single titled Passport was released a year later.
Lada has grown in all ramifications to become a singer-songwriter, poet, composer, instrumentalist, poet and rapper to mention a few. Presently, Lada is working on his debut album and he is promoting “Passport” as a single. According to Lada “Passport is a song i wrote to encourage people especially, the youths to be proud of our identity regardless of what people think about our great country Nigeria we should stand firm and defend our future”
