360TrendAlert: Leopard Prints

share on:

Once upon a time, animal prints were sign of wealth and luxury. Hellz, I remember watching Nollywood films back then, seeing the Igwe’s throne bedecked with animal print rugs and furs and thinking, “That guy has it all.” Now, fast forward a few centuries and the animal print is back!  It’s no secret that the fav animal print of the season is the leopard print. This trend just keeps going around and around in circles…from supermodel Verushka in the 60/70s to our own sweetheart, “Only girl in the world” crooner, Rihanna looking bedazzling in all styles of the leopard print.

Fabulous designers like Moschino, Gucci, Dolce and Gabbana, Cavalli and Balmain, who do not stop to amaze me with their leopard print power-shoulder blazer, all brought their versions of the jungle onto the runway with glorious detail.

Leopard print can add style and a unique touch to any look. Pair them up with blouses, blazers, scarves, dresses and high-heeled shoes.  Don’t forget to play by the fashion rules when you wear a leopard print dress to channel your inner animal.

Animal print accessories like shoes, scarves and hair bands add that extra oomph and class to your outfit.

STYLING TIP – while wearing a leopard print dress, get it spot on by wearing minimal accessories and when in doubt a Leopard print dress can be best paired with black accessories and shoes.

For full figured women, choose the print in accessories or wear as part of a neutral outfit and if you are petite, smaller prints  in form fitting outfits work best.

Spice up your wardrobe with Leopard print dresses and/or accessories.  Ask Santa…he’s bound to leave some in ur Christmas stockings/bags.  😉
