Move over “First Fridays Lagos”, the team at WHAT’S NEW are stirring things up and are definitely giving FFL a run for their money.
WHAT’S NEW – the tourism and lifestyle infotainment magazine which has now added event concepts to it’s repertoire held its maiden edition of the “WHAT’S NEW EXPERIENCE” in Lagos on Thursday, 4th November 2010 at No. 10 night club on Saka Tinubu, Victoria Island.
The “WHAT’S NEW EXPERIENCE” as it’s known is a quarterly experiential marketing, brand communication and social networking event that gives attendees the opportunity to “experience” the latest innovations from all of their favourite brands. The maiden edition was sponsored by Virgin Atlantic, Skyy Vodka, Cintron beverages, The Artisan Lagos Magazine and No. 10 night club.
The networking event which was strictly by guest list attracted a wide variety of upwardly mobile and young professionals. Also in attendance were the likes of Charles Udoh– marketing manager of Diamond bank, Wura Odutan– marketing manager of Virgin Atlantic, Femi Obagun– CEO of The Artisan Lagos magazine, Floss an up and coming artist, and the current talk of the town IcePrince who performed his current single “Oleku” to a jubilant audience.
Presentations were given by each of the sponsors and this featured short video presentations and interactive question and answer sessions. Thereafter, guests networked and mingled freely whilst being treated to sumptuous finger food and cocktails provided complimentary by No 10 and Skyy Vodka respectively.
Olaotan Towry Coker of WHAT’S NEW had this to say about the WHAT’S NEW EXPERIENCE “After a short break WHAT’S NEW is back with a bang. Expect The WHAT’S NEW EXPERIENCE to get even bigger and better from here on”.
All in all, It was a fun night and we look forward to the next one holding in February next year.
