Lagos Art and Fashion Fair Review.‏

The African Artists’ Foundation (AAF) Art and Fashion fair is organised as part of the AAF mission to promote art, artists, and the use of art in various forms of creative expression. It presents a unique avenue for designers, artists and craftspeople to promote their accessories, clothing, as well as one-of-a-kind artwork.
So, unlike other fairs, the AAF Art and Fashion Fair only showcases the art and fashion of truly creative people, in a bid to celebrate our local culture and talent.

It was a fun afternoon, and guests in attendance were surrounded by exclusive, beautiful, hand selected and hand crafted art and fashion including:Luxury leather accessories by Didi Isah, Cutesy tees; handmade bags and beautiful hair accessories by Aimas; crafts by JJ arts and crafts; Customised trainers by HRM; Contemporary T-shirts by Literatti; and Green Monkey Republic with their debut line of funky customised tees! Beautiful hand made jewellery by Muhktar; locally crafted dresses, home fittings and candlestands by Enjolive; the cutest little flower pots by talented sculptor Taye Idahor; Tee shirts by SeekProject; the most delicious cupcakes by Cupyd’s Patteserie; and, of course, amazing art by National Art Competition finalist Adewale Fatai and National Art Competition 3rd prize winner Stanley Dudu!

The vendors were given the opportunity to showcase their unique artistry to the exclusive crowd that was made up of friends and patrons of the AAF at an unmatched bargain, as each stall cost only N10,000!

In attendance were a few personalities including Soul singer Bez, Ade Bantu, and Comedian Teju babyface. Also in attendance was Ugoma Ebilah of Zebra Living.

  1. Looked like a nice event. Wish i was in naija to attend. (loving the tees, mini flower pots and of course the tasty cupcakes).

I’m especially digging the fact that “the AAF Art and Fashion Fair only showcases the art and fashion of TRULY CREATIVE PEOPLE, in a bid to celebrate our local culture and talent.”

    Great stuff.
