Meet Haddy and Nkem, the dynamic eccentric R&B/POP female duo known as Emphirical who already have two 2009 singles released in Nigeria – “Bread n Butter” featuring Mo’Cheddah & “Ejekajo“. These cuts which fuse Afro sounds with RnB elements (termed Afro Pop) got them great reviews and acceptance amongst major online community users and some key states in Nigeria.

Haddy is from Gambia and was born and is now based in the UK; Nkem is from Nigeria and is also now based in the UK. The girls 1st met @ skool in a chemistry lesson 6years ago and immediately bonded due to their love for music. Their African heritage plays a major influence on the style they sing and perform.

Signed to Vype Records, the duo have been spending more time in the studio finalising materials for their debut album (assumed to be called “Stop and Stare”) which is due out in December 2010 featuring great collaborations and amazing songs, a few of which have been performed at some high level event within the UK, and Africa.

They recently performed for the President Of Gambia in July and also at a 15,000 + capacity crowd event sponsored by one of Gambia’s telecoms giant and the reception was awesome. The Duo hopes to become a household name in Africa, with the west of Africa being its first target.

Plans are also underway for a video…
