For many fashion designers, it can seem like a long, hard road to discovery and acceptance into the fashion world. However, for one fashion designer it seems that she was truly compelled for great things. Bukola Are is one upcoming fashion designer who has made a great pace and name for herself in the fashion industry.
When Bukola first started out as a designer, she found herself designing different styles with many ideas and inspirations behind it. Bukola realized early in the industry that many designers were followers rather than being innovators. That inspired Bukola to create House of Versatile Styles! “I am an innovator of my own fashion,” says Bukola. “As a designer, I create and adapt to original designs of clothing and accessories for women, men and children. I call it a lifestyle.”

The inspiration for HVS comes from Bukola’s travels around the world. A lot of her pieces include fabrics from West Africa with American and European influence. She creates a lifestyle, a line were you can define your own style this includes couture, contemporary,urban /high street and much more.
No detail is overlooked in Bukola’s designs and you are guaranteed top quality and exceptional hand tailoring in each of her pieces. Daring hemlines, plunging necklines, and the use of sequences characterize her women’s wear. From concept to completion Bukola is involved in the whole process .
House of Versatile Styles (HVS) has been showcased in the United States as well as internationally; from Gala events to fundraisers for HIV/AIDS Awareness. HVS Collections have graced the runways at events such as:
- Seattle Fashion Week 2010
- DC Fashion Week 2009
- Against Illiteracy Poverty and AIDS (Fusion-Fashion Show)- Lagos, Nigeria;
- Egyptian Queens and Rice University (Annual Fashion Show);
Bukola continues her growth with a quote in mind, “What’s beautiful can never be denied, I dream with my eyes open and I am what I dream. That’s my Versatile Style.”
Bukola would be showcasing at Atlanta International Fashion Week sometime this month. Look forward to the images of her versatile designs here on 360nobs.com, we know we are.
Something you may or may not know is that, Bukola styled and designed the clothes worn by Airis’ in the Without You video (https://www.360nobs.com/2010/05/new-video-airis-without-you/) which was shot in Maimi via her other company “The Fashion & Style Company” as a fashion stylist.
