Its all about our favourite Bajan beauty, RIHANNA. It seems international fashion houses are now turning to musicians for brand endorsements in 2014 to represent their brand. First, it was Lady Gaga for Versace, then Erykah Badu for Givenchy and now, RiRi for Balmain. 2014 is sure going to be one exciting year.
Under the creative direction of 27 year old French designer Olivier Rousteing, Rihanna has been hand-picked to front the luxury fashion brand’s Spring/Summer 2014 campaign. A perfect combo of luxury and edgy plus full on sexiness.
The 27-year-old designer says working with RiRi was “a dream come true” and that the Barbadian beauty is uncompromising, fresh, modern and the “icon” of his generation.
“Rihanna embodies my vision of Balmain in this new campaign,” Rousteing said. “In front of the camera, she makes you feel like she is the only girl in the world.”
Riri looks hot in a pink and white kimono style coat, with white and gold accessories. For her second look, she is seen wearing a denim on denim piece with layers of gold chains on it, looking extremely fierce.
The campaign was shot in New York City last month by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, and styled by Riri’s personal stylist Mel Ottenberg.
