Joseph Emmanuel, “Gil” as most people refer to call him is an upcoming artiste and self acclaimed producer whose love for Hip-Hop & Rap Genre of music has led him to the path of achieving his dreams and aspirations.
Born and raised in the city of Lagos, Gil recalls always being in the house of the Lord.The second out of three boys raised by parents who strongly believe in bringing up their children in the way of the Lord.
The 18 year-old rapper whose music career officially kicked off two years ago during which he was part of a group called DECK P where he danced and rapped during school shows, church programs and other events. However, Gil had been writing and performing his own rap since his early high school years, rapping to the audience of his fellow students during free periods and after school hours. The young rapper is inspired by international artistes like Lecrae, Da Truth and Frank Edwards.
In less than two years prior to the start of his career, Gil has self produced a number of tracks for himself including the hit track that got him signed to Rock Town Entertainment after CEO and Producer Frank Edwards listened to the track. He has also been featured in several singles by top gospel artistes including Frank Edwards. His unique style and methodology has set him apart from the rest causing people who have heard him and watched him perform recognize his potential and greatness.
Gil is the newest member of the Awarding Winning Gospel Artiste and Producer’s record label – Rock Town Entertainment. There is no doubt that greater things are expected to come out from this young lad as he burns with the fiery passion, discipline and commitment to take on the Music Industry for Christ.
