It was an amazing fusion of music and fashion like never before at the second edition of MUSIC MEETS RUNWAY (MMR), which took place on the 24th of December 2012, at the Convention Centre, Eko Hotel and Suites,Victoria Island, Lagos.

This year’s MMR was more outstanding and was hosted by the beautiful Supermodel Millen Migese (Former Miss Tanzania now signed to Ford Models New York) who has been the face of all the MMR campaign images, and “The Entertainer” – D’banj.

Fashion and music lovers were entertained by a selection of the biggest Nigerian artists around – D’banj, Wizkid, Iyanya, Naeto C, May D, K Switch, Burna Boy, Ajebutter 22, Taikoon And Efya From Ghana who all gave performances of a lifetime with fabulous models strutting to collections of nine of Nigeria’s brightest new talents – Andrea Iyamah, April by Kunbi, David Bowler, Eclectic by Sasha, Elegante by TiannahStyling, Kimono Kollection, MOOFA, Nkili, Shakara Couture, Rebahia and a special collection by headlining fashion icon Lanre Dasilva Ajayi.

Another highlight of the night was the MMR new model competition where model new face Nkem Okorafor was announced the winner.

She will go on to become the Model Face of MMR for the next one year and will also participate in a Major International Fashion Week come 2013.

Le Reve Events spearheaded by Jennifer Olize, Producer and Creative Director of MMR aims to promote talents in the Music and Fashion industries by fusing performances by some of the most outstanding artists in the Nigerian Music industry and with a runway showcase featuring some of the most creative designs by up-and-coming designers Nigeria has to offer, from Pret-a-Porter to Couture Fashion.

MMR goes beyond the efforts to support Fashion and Music, it also provides opportunities for philanthropic growth through the Music Meets Runway Foundation, as a percentage of proceeds raised from tables sold at the event will be donated to a chosen charity organizations to encourage young students to follow their dreams as most of their schools are plagued with infrastructural deficit common to the Nigerian educational system.
