In the video below, UK’s ITV News does a special feature on the artist behind Oliver Twist and chats to him as he talks about the area he grew up, in South-East London.
He was in the UK in support of the London 2012 world sport day - An event which is the culmination of the main Olympic education initiatives encouraging kids across the UK to celebrate the competing nations and learn about dance, music, culture and of course sport from around the world.
There is also a video of D-Banj visiting Plumstead Manor Secondary school for girls on May 24, 2012 , who are the official ‘Nigeria supporting school’. The students were excited to meet and discuss with him.
He also became a teacher for a day teaching them some ‘Oliver twist’ dance moves.
