The Super Eagles narrowly beat their Namibian counterparts in the 2014 World Cup qualifying match which was played at the UJ Esuene stadium in Calabar, Today – Sunday, June 3, 2012.

The first 45 minutes ended barren with Nigerians not being able to convert several of their chances at goal against the stubborn Warriors.

Ike Uche finally scored in the 80th minute after missing several chances in the game.

Nigeria’s starting Xi had a couple of new faces: V. Enyeama (c), G. Oboabona, J. Oshaniwa, A. Egwueke, E. Ambrose, E. Uzoenyi, G. Reuben, N. Obiora, V. Moses, I. Uche, J. Utaka.

Nigeria now leads the table after Malawi and Kenya had earlier played out a goalless draw.

Ike Uche, who has now scored 15 goals in 36matches for the Super Eagles was named the Man of the Match
