In Lagos, every Wednesday night there is something called INDUSTRY NITE. It’s a night where everyone (or at least those interested) in the Entertainment world come together to chill, mingle, network to discover new talents and sometimes to enjoy old talents especially when they have a new album coming out(they also perform a few old hits too). It’s a fantastic night to show off what you are really made of (singing is done with a Live Band for about an hour or a little more depends on how in tune with the crowd the artist is) as the room is filled with all the buzz creators – media, possible management, record execs and enthusiasts and possible fans – if your material isn’t well accepted at an Industry Nite event then you need to go back to the drawing board.
The 11th of April was one of such nights, and Mister Incredible(MI ABAGA) was the Artiste and the material on the bill, his anticipated mixtape, THE ILLEGAL MUSIC 2. The theme – Triple Launch. The venue – Oriental Hotel(African Ballroom). The MC: Larry D.
As we know, MI never fails to up the ante everytime there is something new he wants to release for public consumption- dare we say he is a ‘drama king’. The Triple Launch was for his website www.MIABAGA.TV, his record label LOOPY MUSIC under Chocolate City, and of course the most important of all, an Album(mixtape rather) ILLEGAL MUSIC2.
The night was hosted by Trace Urban and supported by Spinlet, Loopy Music, Beat 99.9FM and a few others. MI graced the stage with other supporting acts RUBY (from Loopy Music), Loose Kaynon and Threadstone(a rock band) as well as Ice Prince and Jesse Jagz for Loopy Music.
Here are some of the pictures from the night.
