‘Kunbi Oyelese, an alumni of FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) New York, launched her first retail store for her growing fashion brand, April by KUNBI on Sunday, 1st of April 2012 in the heart of Lekki phase 1, Lagos.
The store opening was graced with the likes of Tiwa Savage(April by Kunbi Client), Sasha P, Linda Ikeji, Mai Atafo, Toke Makinwa, Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi, Bobo Omotayo, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Estanola Oyelese, Tosin Oyelese, Noble Igwe, Lucy Phil -Ebosie, Veronica Ebie-Odeka, Toju Foyeh, Valerie Obaze and many more.
April by KUNBI isn’t new to the Nigerian fashion scene or the entertainment world, her one-off pieces have been seen on the likes of Mo’Cheddah(remember Mo’s little blue sequinned dress she wore for her graduation party, that was an April by KUNBI outfit) and Tiwa Savage. The store houses all the beautiful and fabulous April by KUNBI’s ready-to-wear, accessories as well as her signature show-stopping made-to-order pieces.
The store opening was supported by Estanola Limited(Estanola Oyelese), Bella Naija and PowerHorse.
