WeNowPronounceYou: Mr and Mrs Obichie

Nene Alokwe and John Obichie tied the knot beautifully on December 17, 2011 in Christ Embassy, Victoria Island. The reception followed at the Scintilla Events Center. This is their wedding story!

Her Story
We met while we were at Zenith Bank training school and even though we were in separate classes, I would often catch him checking me out from a distance.

He finally worked up the nerve to approach me during our graduation party and because I was in another relationship at the time, I didn’t give him much thought.

Along the line, we became really great friends but every now and then he’d remind me of just how much he loved me and ask me to take our friendship further.

After about two years as just friends, I began to see him in a different light and decided to take him up on his offer.

I believe we are better off for it as we couldn’t have asked for better partners. We are great friends yet awesome lovers.

His Story
The first thing I noticed about Nene were her great legs…she was wearing a mini skirt, and even though she had her back towards me but I made an effort to stylishly walk up to her to check her out.

I finally approached her at the beach party organised at the end of the training and took things up from there.

We became fast friends and somewhere along the line, I fell hard for her because not only is she a beauty, she is very intelligent, independent, opionionated and God fearing…these qualities endeared me to her because there were reminiscent of the  qualities my mother had…I’ll never forget how many church services I had to attend just to get her to take me seriously!

Of course she wasn’t very keen on the idea of taken our friendship further but I was very patient yet persistent and you know what the old adage says about the patient dog don’t you?
