360News: NBC Bans The New Anthem “Oliver Twist”

The National broadcasting commission(NBC) banned D’banj‘s latest anthem “Oliver twist” due to the lyrics containing lewd contents.

The Government has ordered all broadcasting stations in Nigeria to immediately stop the song that spun a massive crazy Youtube trend. (At least you can still bump it here) :D

Tough call for an already successful song! In my opinion, I believe this will simply help spread this already massive song more. Fact: Banned content = more popularity! Cos like Oliver Twist, we want more of the song!

Don Baba J tweeted about it severally on twitter yesterday!

What’s you own opinion? Are the contents indeed lewd?

  • NBC wil always ban hits at d slightest provocations- jst to show they exist. The only swell word i heard in dat song is YANSH~ usd once. There is smting cald studio or radio edit. If only they could advice 4 it and hey, there are greater problems- like piracy.

  • They are not serious.NBC like to flex their powers with only certified hits.Among the hundreds of song released everyday among the various Nigerian entertainment portals online, how many have they actually listened to and banned?
They are only looking for cheap publicity, and to show the public that they are still in existence. They is nothing lewd about the song; they should go get a life.
